Join the adventure! The 5th Annual Aurora Summit will be offered in person Nov. 4-6, 2022 on Lake Superior’s shore in Red Cliff, Wisconsin. Open to all who enjoy the Northern Lights, the annual Aurora Summit is held along Lake Superior’s shore. The weekend workshop offers presentations about the wonders of the night sky, ranging from photography, astronomy and space weather, to art, culture and mythology.

The Aurora Summit is the leading conference on Northern Lights in the U.S., offering presentations on the Northern Lights, Photography and Night Sky Adventures. Aurora Summit 22 will take place from Nov. 4 - Nov. 6, at Legendary Waters Resort in Red Cliff, Wisconsin. All meals are included.

New! AS22 Photography Bootcamp

New in 2022, we are proud to offer the Photography Bootcamp! Join our host Mike Shaw Photography for a pre-conference day to use the advanced features of your camera gear, master your settings, and learn tricks for Aurora photography. 

This add-on is completely optional, and it will begin Friday at 9:00am, before the conference opens. Lunch is included! Those attending the bootcamp may want to check in on Thursday night. Bring your camera, lenses, tripods and trackers to get in gear for a weekend of astrophotography.

Held at Legendary Waters Casino, the 5th Annual Aurora Summit is packed with awesome opportunities!

The venue is located on Lake Superior's South Shore, with north-facing scenery and an island view from the property. Camping is available right next to the hotel, with plenty of dark skies for astrophotography. From the moment you arrive, you'll find countless ways to admire nature, enjoy photography, and make new connections.

Whether you enjoy the educational sessions, spend your nights watching the sky, or relax along the majestic northern forests and beaches, you're sure to have a great time. Take a look!

Be Part of the Adventure

Aurora Summit 22 will feature a variety of activities related to the Northern Lights, bringing in internationally known experts to share their unique perspectives on this rare phenomenon.

Part conference and part star party, the Aurora Summit attracts people from all experience levels, inviting guests to be part of the adventure! Activities include:

Cancellation policy

Cancellations must be made more than a month in advance in order to receive a refund. The fees associated with registration are non-refundable. No refunds will be made after October 4, 2022.
